getting car history not carfax

Hey LB, Nissan told me that they have no central database of service done to automobiles, each dealership keeps their own service records. True? I don't know, if anyone knows

True? I don't know, if anyone knows different tell me please. This was directly from Nissan Corp when I inquired about service records of my used Z, I provided VIN, bill of sale, everything to prove ownership, then they tell me after jumping thru all those hoops they can't help me....
