I hadn't looked at the interior of the Gen Coupe since 2010 when I looked at both vehicles before buying, but based on the description OP gave I was like damn, I should check it out. While it looks nice, it doesn't seem like the superlatives used were quite warranted lol. I went to the photos expecting to be looking at an Audi S5 interior based on the description, and Hyundai just isn't quite there
Looks like basically all the same creature comforts of a Touring Z, for less $. Still nice, don't get me wrong. |

My Z is a dedicated summer car. I couldn't justify a Gen Coupe as a dedicated summer car. Similar cars, but differently leagues once you look into it.
OP check out the SOLO exhaust for the 3.8 Coupe. Sounds great. Persoanlly if I bought the Gen coupe I would do K&N drop ins (factory intake is very good, some people dyno zero gains or losses with aftermarket intakes on the 3.8) delete the secondary cats, and throw a canned tune on it. Should Scoot the same or faster than a stock 370 for about $600 in mods.

Yea, I know, thank you and the bang for the buck is astonishing. Again, not quite as fast but Im happily giving a bit of that up for the great ride, all the toys and really comfy seats and something very nice to look at for my commutes. Plus, its still plenty fast.

You'll be back soon!
Enjoy the car. I personally shopped these as well. I couldn't get over the styling. The interior of the Gen Coupe was OK, but I didn't think it was as nice as my Z or the G37. Seemed like it was trying too hard to look upscale and had the opposite effect. Last edited by b15; 04-30-2014 at 02:35 PM. |

See IMO the GC is BETTER than the G37 interior. Rides better and tad but quicker too. I don't think Hyundai tried to hard to make it look upscale, I think they nailed it. If anything I don't think nissan tried hard enough with the G interior. I did some serious cross shopping of the two. Again, opinions, we all know what they are like. Lol. Different strokes for different folks. Last edited by Firebase99; 04-30-2014 at 03:41 PM. Reason: Add |
