Good news. Spoke with the claims rep and asked if getting a check cut out to me instead would be possible and she said no problem. She asked about the tread life on the tires since they were pretty new Michelin pss so she is going to call the dealer I purchased the car from to confirm.

how much miles on your car until get stolen ?

good new is you are going to have new wheels, new tire, new brake pad. if they give you over 5k im glad for you.

Bad new is that your car will be reported to Carfax. also check if the theft destroy anypart while trying to jam wheel lock?

Just wonder Will your insurance rate go up ?

I'm planning on keeping the car for a good while and a incidence of wheel theft even reported shouldn't devalue the car much. Studs looked fine on the bolton spacers I have on the car.

Since it is being paid out by the comprehensive part of my policy, I've been told that my rate would not change. Now it will still be reported one the insurance history record which I guess is a record shared among insurance companies.
