I doubt Nissan would risk using a detuned GTR motor. It wouldn't be wise because this so called "detuned" motor could easily be brought back up to GTR performance levels. A version of the 8 from the FX50 would be a more logical choice if you're targeting the corvette. I would like to see them offer both V6 and V8 versions. That way everyone is happy!
