Balance man. How would you like if she forced you to change her pads during her period? ;)
Just enjoy the car with her but also respect her feelings. For me this would be a deal breaker but I ride motorcycles and fly airplanes so it's pretty important. See if you can find a balance and push it harder when you're solo. If it's a no go there's tons of girls out there. |

My girlfriend steers and shifts for me...

i made my wife almost throw up when i took her up the dragon a few years ago

Who cares? I've been revved at many times with my wife in the car and ignore it everytime. Why? Usually it's two punk guys in some boy racer car. I'm in the Z with my wife, so I've already won.
Hell when I'm out cruising, its almosy guaranteed I'll have a minivan or suv tailgate me then floor it to pass me. I just smile and go on my merry way |

And OP, just tell her to get over it. She will eventually. |
When I don't like riding with someone who drives fast, it's not because they drive fast. It's because I hate they a55-awful way they drive and want them to do nothing else that would be even riskier.
Maybe you need to ask her if she likes riding shotgun with you and if you're a good driver. If you're not a good driver in her eyes, you need to work at that. Else, get a new girlfriend or a new Prius. |

I think you gol' durn missed the point. |
I'm still lol'ing at how he "beat the m5" and how they were "both flooring it" but "not racing"
Smh. |
Meh, I save the spirited driving for when I'm in the car alone, or if my buddies are riding along (car guys), but even that's rare.
I drive differently with passengers, because I'm responsible for them should anything happen. I dunno, I guess it's part of being a mature adult. |

shit is going to happen no matter how you approach it. You can't be safe for everyone else out there texting, drinking, doing make-up, and who-knows-what-else while driving.

I know, but if I'm taking a corner faster-than-normal, and I wreck by myself, then I did it to myself and I can live with that. If I wreck with a passenger in the car, I can't live with the lack of responsibility I showed towards their trust in me and their lively hood (should they have been hurt). |

Something wrong with your g/f.
M wife loves it when I push the cars. Giggles and wants more, which means a SC is a win-win for me when I have funds. :P |

I need to find an empty parking lot and have some fun and learn some things. |
My wife bitches at me all the time to slow down on curves and turns. I just ignore her for the most part. She knows I can handle the Z and is much better now - she just closes her eyes, grabs the handle on the door, and shuts up. I'm considering installing an Oh $hit handle on the passenger side A-pillar for her :icon17:
To be fair to her, she drives the car pretty aggressively herself. But one of the first times we cruised with another group of Z's (a couple years ago), I pushed it really hard on Lime Creek and had wheels off the road several times, which made her very uncomfortable. I was leading a group with the fast guys following first, and I didn't want to disappoint them :driving: It took a year or so after that before she would let me spin the wheels on purpose without yelling at me (although I do have to wait until they're nearing replacement or else she bitches about wasting tread). Since I DD the Z, I get plenty of opportunity to drive hard without her in the car. |

The few times are when my wife comes along for a cruise with some fellow Z owners - sometimes those cruises are very relaxed and sometimes they are very spirited. I definitely recommend the parking lot practice :driving: |
the one time my wife rode shotgun she fell a sleep saying she liked the sound of the fujimura, how firm yet smooth my Z rides, and just overall a very plesant cocoon like place to be.
/thread!! |
My wife loved going on mountain cruises with the group in San Diego. But she still hates when I take on/off ramps rather quickly.

When the girlfriend is in the Z. and we are at a stoplight and another cars wants to have some fun. I ask here to step out of the car. The extra 125 lbs. will slow me down.

My girl and I had done a little hiking. When we were finished we were leaving the parking area and there was not a car on the road. I gave it a little gas and fishtailed a little to have a little fun. She was not cool with that.
Guess what I did..........wait for it..........I respected her wishes. I won't do it again with her in the car. If you can not control yourself to show a woman that she means more to you than your self absorbed enjoyment, than you are a sad man. If she like it, then cool go with it. If it turns her on, by all mean get her hot. If it makes her mad or frightened, then show her some respect. |

mine hates mine...but this past weekend she went on a spirited drive with me. I think she feels a little differently now. She knows the car handles well and its not just about the acceleration.
