reading their forum everyone is hating on the Z... but then again were all hating on the FRS.

From a non-owners standpoint of view:
I'd hate to step on the gas and have the prius next to me keep up. Theyre cool looking little cars, and I wouldn't mind owning one to TT and throw around at the track. But I could never take them fully serious. It's like a teenagers car and kinda reminds me of those matchbox concept cars you can but.

yep, i think it's a great wannabie sports car for dd-ing around town. if one throws in a TT, it's waay over priced. better just getting another car.
they can hate all they want, but the reality is that their car is slow in real world driving.

Yeah it's basically Japanese muscle. It's kinda unrefined like a muscle car , and it has a weight to it unlike a lot of Japanese cars , nothing wrong with that.

Frs/brz are not bad but for me has to much of hollow feel. I like the twins but I also wanted something faster then the maxima I was trading in.

Depends on what you want. Twins might be more economical and a little more versatile but in a car I want speed over most everything else.

Chuck33079 03-13-2014 07:35 PM

Remember, if the other car is faster than yours, it must only be good in a straight line and yours handles far better.

Masterbeatty 03-13-2014 07:43 PM

The twins kick *** in autox. This past summer a brz had 2 secs on me pretty much every event. Then I looked closer and it turns out he was running on 18x9 wheels with hossier a6 tires. Fail!!! I was still on my year old advans. But with anything the more you mod the faster it will go.

Duc_Z09 03-13-2014 08:07 PM

I tested the FR-S. What a slow-*** ricey little POS!:roflpuke2:

Even if it had 300hp in 5 years it would still look like a reject from a Fast and Furious movie and have an interior that came out of a cereal box...

At least with Zs (and Mustangs) you get a good looking car that has some balls.

Yup. I have a friend that has done just that. Oh and you gotta stop it and turn it as well and get that power to the ground. So you have to boost all the rest. Ultimately he paid way more for his FRS than I did for the Z. But you know, sometimes the fun is the way you get there.

tnav 03-13-2014 10:07 PM

I would not, I read the FR-S is made by Fisher Price

Yep the Z06 sucks in the corners. Same with the GTR. Fast as f*ck but if you try to take a turn with a GTR your screwed.

DavidZ370 03-14-2014 02:31 AM

I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER trade the Z for a FR-S the whole point of changing cars is to upgrade inmho unless you are having financial issues, that being said the FR-S is a good car but comparing it to the Z is just putting our cars down the Z deserves more recognition.

I troll those FRS forums quite a bit. The owners, well they are enthusiastic to say the least. Most think their car is Gods answer to 4 wheel transportation and nothing is better. I embellish but just a bit. Not that the Z is the end all either. There are much better cars out there. I just cant afford them, lol. Needless to say, I test drove a few, thrashed the hell out of them, drove one at Sebring. Are they fun to throw around? Yep? Is the Z fun to throw around? Is the Z faster by a huge margin in every possible way? Yep. Yep. With about $3000 price difference from a Z, that GT86 platform is woe-fully bad. The GT86 is a teenagers car, impossible to take serious. And if youre worried about gas..what, $30, $40-$50 a month difference, dont come looking at Z's. On a side note my wifes Volvo S60 destroys the FRS in a straight line, its hilarious.

Edit: Heres a quote from one of their members...tell me whats wrong.

"Isn't an E92 M3 more of a muscle car? The BRZ should be closer in characteristics to an E30 (a chassis experience)."
