If you had your current Z in high school...

Driving to work and a song comes on that reminds me of high school. Like many southern California schools, mine had a lot of people (around 5k students), so there were plenty of cars around. The cool car then ( early 80's) were throwbacks...a VW Karmann Ghia or a 67 Mustang. (I did have one friend who had a slightly used RX-7, but he was rare. The rest of us had older cars.)

So then I thought...what if I drove my current Z back then? Yes, I know it was only the 280 or 300 ZX that was the latest model at least in my HS years, but work with me here. If you drove your current Z in high school, how would:

A. You be different (more confident, "stuck-up," happy go lucky, etc.)?

B. Or how might others treat you differently?

Im a youngin, the 350Z was the current Z while I was in high school, if It was my first car I would probably be dead right now lol. Wrapped around a tree

I'd be parts of a corpse on the side of the road. Teenage me would throw my Z off the road backwards at a very high rate of speed.

and have mediocre grades when I could have done better.

a. more confident.... probably yes.
b. others treat you differently... probably yes.
c. would it win you a date with the prom queen? ... probably no.

at the end of the day, if you had a cute girlfriend (or a few) you won. i had a cute gf so my pos civic did fine.
