I just jack up each side and slide the ramps under the tires.

Same here, except in the rear I jack up both sides from the differential

Kinda defeats the purpose of a ramp no? I've done it once and its a little sketchy because once the suspension is loaded it sits different than when the wheels are in the air. The ramps end up moving several inches and the toe angle changes so driving off isn't straight.

I have no slipping issues and I have to use 2x4's to clear.
