Unless you are handicapped or for some reason it is impossible for you to find a smooth, level surface where you can jack up the car and use stands or easier still, ramps, and operate the simplest of hand tools, there is no reason you should not change your own oil. It is a skill that anyone who owns a sports cars should have. You will know it is done right. It is also a very basic skill that does not require specialized tools or training at a factory mechanic class like a lot of the work that modern cars require.
The DIY threads on this site are well done, if you have never done it before you will be quite surprised when you are finished with how easy it was, and the next time will be a cake walk. |
