Anyone have a cool garage for their Z??

I'm actually renovating ours right now to attempt to get 3 cars in (we can only get 2 in at the moment). My Z will take the third bay when I'm done this summer.

I can only hope that it will look nearly as spartan as this garage which is the home of two Z's (taken from the Facebook site "370z Club").

So...anyone else have a nice "Z crib"???

It's much cleaner now. Those pics were taken immediately after the lift install.

jofro6 01-23-2014 11:57 AM

 It's been a bucket list item for a while now. Finally got it in last weekend. Now I just need to put down Racedeck tiles for the floor and install a TV up in the corner somewhere so I can work on the car and watch football at the same time.

Here are a couple of mine. I've got a 'backroom' to keep all the garden stuff & such in. Cars & bikes only in the main part.

I'm not against the idea. I've already committed to helping a buddy install a BP turbo kit on his G. Working on other people's cars is so much more fun than your own. If something goes wrong, I can still make it to work Monday morning. :rofl2:

Dang...

I'm not going to say "heaven," but my garage would be pretty close to that. Dig that lift!

They're shockingly affordable. Hell, it even had free shipping and the install is a fairly simple DIY.

Mr&Mrs 01-23-2014 01:09 PM

I was gonna post Ztoons if no one else did I love that setup. Mine is just plain but one day probably 20 years from now I can work on it lol

FPenvy 01-23-2014 01:13 PM

30x30 detached. Some upgrades since pics but not home to take new ones at the moment. Plus the Z is tucked away and covered in the smaller garage attached to the house. Anyways here's a few pics. Was gonna post one but just couldn't resist showing all the angles lol nothing special but it's functional and worked in constantly.

edit: theres now a REAL original olds 442 hood to the left of the C6 hood and to the right is a 69 camaro hood.

I did without a garage for ten years before I broke down and built one. It might as well be a good one.

Wow! Wish my garage looked that good. How much did the lift set you back?

A little over $2k. Costco occasionally has it as low as $1899 with free shipping.

https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/...07776080_n.jpg
https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...07146096_n.jpg

but with the kid and all the yard equipment needing to be in there things got tight with three cars. so a like minded friend and I went halves on this

https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/...99019776_n.jpg

plenty of room in the garage now:tup:

kenchan 01-23-2014 03:58 PM

we should just start a 'anyone have a cool trash can thread'

i mean, everyone that visits first look at the trashcan. not the cars, not the tool cases, who cares about the tiles. it's the trash can that separates the amatures from the pro's.

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...e-trashcan.jpg

kenchan 01-23-2014 06:01 PM

i really killed this thread, huh? :ugh: ooops.

My Z's crib has a piano.

b15 01-23-2014 10:54 PM

My current garage is your standard 2.5car garage. Way too small and nothing too fancy in there yet. We've looked at a couple houses with oversized 3car and some with 4car garages and when it's time to move, I'm not sure I could get anything less. I've always wanted to deck out my garage, just need to get one worth doing so first!

Sounds glorious!

COSMO 01-24-2014 04:06 AM

Man those Maxjax are expensive considering you could have a full sized lift for that price, but then again if you don't have the ceiling height for a full size this would be the ticket. Just put an offer on a house with a shop already in the back yard so this is definitely on my wish list...

Some pics of the new garage first, then some pics of the old garage (which was a bit bigger and certainly taller).
