:iagree: that's bada$$!!!!

I've got a guy finishing my basement right now so I can get all my bicycles out of my garage and into the training room down there. When that's done I'm turning my attention to the garage. Hopefully, I'll have something to contribute then!:ugh2:

I have a two car garage that is so full of extra crap, the cars are hard to see. So to answer the threads question of coolness, I guess not.

I am impressed, how clean some of you fellows are.

These are effin' automotive man-shrines. There should be nubile virgins in each corner waving cooling palm fronds so no one overheats in there.

And this is why I argue with my wife that we need to get out of a condo and into a house.

Ztoon's garage was something I saw a couple years ago and would love to emulate, with a lift eventually to.

Some other very nice garages as well!

QUESTION: Garage people, I hear that the rubber interlocking tiles you can buy (which look amazing) are actually 'not good' any truth to that? Could it just be depending on climate?

kenchan 01-24-2014 01:47 PM

the foam interlocking tiles are great as a floor mat to use next to the workbench if you plan on standing there for a long time.

as far as tiles go, they look nice, but the decorative protrusions in the tiles themselves sometimes make it a pita when you use a hydraulic jack. the rollers dont seem to like it much. i prefer bare or sealed concrete (completely flat) for this reason.

I'm not against the idea. I've already committed to helping a buddy install a BP turbo kit on his G. Working on other people's cars is so much more fun than your own. If something goes wrong, I can still make it to work Monday morning. :rofl2:

Can I come and check out the install? I read that whole tread and think that kit will be the kit I would go with if or when I boost. It would be cool to see what is kind of stuff FI involves.

I'll run it by the owner. I can't imagine it being an issue.

I think the tiles look fantastic, but I don't like them for a "working garage". If you are just sort of using them for a parking space they work very well. But if you wash your cars inside your garage (like I do), drop fluids on the ground (ever try to change the oil in a 993?), etc they are a pita to keep clean as crap gets under the tiles. They make flow through tiles and they work a bit better, but still take a lot of effort to keep clean. My 2 cents.

kenchan 01-25-2014 08:58 PM

yah, im sure there will be mold if i had water under the tiles cause i dont usually open the garage during the week.

since my trash can was such a hit (:ugh:) parts drawer anyone?

PapoZalsa 01-26-2014 03:02 PM

WOW! Look at all the $$$$$ garages...nice

All I have is a 1 car garage for my Z. :( :(

At least the Z is secured and away from the elements...better than parking in the streets.

Lothario 01-26-2014 04:24 PM

apparently im the only dude that leaves his z parked in the grass in the front yard.
