I know several V8 owners who get a solid 9mpg. Why not sell your Z if you hate it so much? Get a toyobru so you can complain over there. Quote:

I seem to recall an article that noted Nissan wasn't really in a position to develop the Z as radically different from the Q50 -- I'm not expecting huge differences, but possibly the loss of 100 or so lbs.
As for motor, I could see them pulling a Hyundai and offering a half decent turbo 4 and for more $$$ a N/A V6. I don't know about the Merc engines -- I thought those were all diesel, and so more oriented towards a Euro market. Whatever they put in there, it will NOT be slower or handle worse than the current model, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. As to the FT-1, I kind of expect Toyota to tone it waaaaaay down and sticker it around 40 - 50K, making it a good bit more pricey than the Z35, but also placing it temptingly within the ball park, especially if it carries the legendary Supra badge and can get out of its own way. |

also the Z32 was not called twinturbo unless it had TT's which not all of them did, there was a lot of NA Z32's |
If toyota makes a car that is close tot he ft-1 concept, the z35 better look amazing or Nissan better hope the Toyota is in a way higher price/performance range. I think it'll probably be gt-r fighter if it comes out, but if it's in vette price range, oh man...

Nissan is taking way too long on the new Z and new "G"-coupe.

When is say Gt-r fighte,r i just mena the price/market range they will be shooting for. I really doubt it will be a z fighter. It will either be a 100k+ "super car" or a 60k-ish sports car, no way anything that looks remotely like that will be int he 35k range

for canada the Z is $50K I could see the FT-1 in the 50-60K range……GT-R up here is 110K+ new
if it came out exactly as it in concept now I would trade my Z for it and be willing to go as high as $65K maybe $70k as long as it's boosted and push in at least 400-450hp with the inline 6! :yum: |
