WOW i'm late to this one! This will be my 5th winter with the Z, good winter tires and easy on the gas (and breaks), traction control off and just like any RWD car. Balance is pretty good with the car, only got stuck once, front tire dropped into a small pot hole in a parking spot, rear was on ice. it happens. LOL

No, cars been good in the winter, just watch for big drifts across the road, clearance is the only draw back.
I've got over 318,000kms on the car, and I bet 140+ are winter driving... |

Since it's supposed to snow tomorrow, today will be my last day in the Z for a while. Pull the Ridgeline out & park the Z. Although I could put winter tires on it & such, since I've got a truck it's just easier.
And that I have the OEM tires on it after 21,000 miles doesn't help. As cold as it's been (20's), it's tough not to spin them even on dry pavement. |

Spring 2016, ish... i'd like to get over 400,000kms on it.
Nope, only if I washed it and left it outside, which I don't do, when I wash it, it gets parked in my heated garage until it's dry. |

That being said I do have some "rust" issues around both door handles, and a couple random spots on the lower door, but not at the very bottom, maybe 4-6" up from there. Oddly the paint has only bubbled there, not pealed yet, but the spots by the handles it's gone, I've touched it up with a color match pen for now. You also have to keep in mind the amount I drive the car period, it has the mileage of a 12-13 year old car... |

I attempted to drive my Z (summer only tires) last year when Charlotte got a good bit of snow. We got maybe 8 inches, and like every other southern town don't really have the infrastructure to plow. I had bad difficulty driving, and finally got stock in my parking lot at work after letting it sit outside in the snow over a 14 hour shift.
Hopped into my co-workers civic, and I drove that around the rest of the day just fine.

I don't recommend the z during active snowfall. I've tried several tires and none of them have allowed me to escape the fact that we're light, and nose heavy and have wide rears. This winter I'm going square fitment (skinnier rears) blizzaks that should help quite a bit

Summer tires-absolutely would not recommend. I have fairly new high performance summer tires on my Z and it is worthless in any snow. I seriously can't make it up many streets in town that are snow covered. And that is not the scary part. I can handle the Z being squirrelly in the rear end, but when you lose steering/braking abilities it becomes too dangerous. With summer tires you haven lose a good amount of braking ability, and I definitely wouldn't take the corners (normal speed) as fast.
