Wait, I'm confused. Why does the mega millions now have a X2 by it and it was like 175 million to 1 now its 258 million to 1. What happened with winning?

Never mind, just found an old pick ticket. Used to be 1-56 and 1-46. Now its 1-75 and 1-15?? But why is the chance of winning the mega ball number 1 in 21 when there's only 15 to pick from?
