It's the nature of the beast.
So far I have only managed to change a couple of things, which didn't cost me a lot out of pocket ![]()

I've modded my previous car and I am someone who spent plenty of money fixing things here and there.
My best advice is this, have an objective for your purchase and research. My first modification is to get the car to sound aggressive and actually get a tone out of the exhaust. I noticed AAM short pipes sound great, but it's a muffler delete at the end of the day I want to gain some hp with my purchase as well. With current black Friday deals I was able to get a great price on an Agency Power exhaust, so I looked it up on YouTube and I will proceed with purchase. As for the intakes, I know that my exhaust being 2.5" will be able to work with a FI kit if I go FI in the future, don't think I'll want to exceed 425whp. So I will be purchasing Z1 tubes as an engine dress up mod and K&N filters, this has been proven to add 8whp or so. Given that the filters will inevitably need to be replaced the filter cost is a wash and the tubes I found for very cheap. As for the suspension, I will always have a desire to be low, but I drove a very low vehicle previously and I understand the hassle it can be to drive around town especially getting stuck taking right turns when the tire is off the ground. I realized the swift springs are the right purchase for me. For the brakes, I have the sport package and I feel as though the stock brakes and pads will suffice for now, perhaps upgraded pads in the future. |

Be content with the mods you do to your car and don't worry about what everyone else is doing. It's easy to get in that mode of the next bigger, better thing. And don't ever buy lashes for your car.

Car = Money Pit
N/A Modified Car = Bottomless Money Pit Boosted/Blown Modified Car = Money Black Hole Custom Project Modified Car = Never mind the cost, you can't afford it, and it will never get completed anyway. Just get in the car, assuming it's currently even running, and drive off of a cliff while simultaneously stabbing yourself in the heart. Individual results may vary (but not by much).

I sometimes feel as the OP does. One day my goal for the Z is clear till the end aaand then the next I want to change it all up. I feel that the mods I've made (listed in sig) are pretty good so far. I am about to buy the next BIG mod which is going to be a Motordyne exhaust. I fear its ALL down hill from there
![]() When I bought the Z. All I wanted was window tint, GTR button and air intakes :'(

I think a few people on here actually like switching out the same part multiple times.
I'm pretty sure members like KEV have changed their exhaust like 3-4 times lol. Some people really like to experiment or keep things fresh. I do my best to stick to my plan, I usually have a list. Pretty much everything I've bought I really wanted and have kept. At worst I'll change small things like Tow hook colors, lug nuts, bolts etc..

My first mods were Takeda long tube CAI and MXP exhaust. Wasn't too expensive and gave a sound that I loved. It's not overly obnoxious driving around town casually but sounds mean as hell when you get on it. I received numerous compliments on it.
