370Z Bloopers
 

I have had my Z for almost a week now and I am finding a few bloopers in the build process. This is not only my car, but any of them. I wonder if anyone else has found some bloopers too. Maybe Nissan will fix these in the future and give us freebies. :rofl2: If you have any, reply and add them with the next number in the list (so whoever posts after this will start with 3.)

1. Unable to see the mileage while driving due to the location of the right paddle shifter.

2. When I change the A/C temperature or fan speed the symbols pop up on the bottom of the nav display to show my changes as I make them. However the fan speed knob on the left is displayed on the right side of the display and the temperature knob on the right is displayed on the left side of the display. It would have been nicer the left knob controlled the symbol on the left and the right knob controlled the symbol on the right.

3. You can correct your phone via Bluetooth to make calls, but cannot use Bluetooth for music.

I think that's trying to get you to opt for the NAV package as that allows bluetooth streaming.

I have nav and bluetooth streaming. You need to connect the phone as a music player to get the tunes to play. Kinda sucks. I wanted to play Pandora but still want my phone.

And you can only have one active at a time, so no love in having two phones in the car at once.

4. Nissan accidentally put Titan mirrors on the Z. Still hasn't been fixed!

5. Forgot to add a digital speedo.

6. Right side mirror does not show blind spot, it needs to be able to move outward more.

7. No analog fuel guage.
8. Fuel tank is the worst design ever.
9. TPMS goes off, doesn't tell which tire, or at least which side!
10. No USB port standard on non-touring/NAV models. :rolleyes:

11. The heated seats have two settings. Too much and more.

One minute and I am done.

13. Wheels look so good they attract thieves.

14. Exhaust tone is pathetic. The 350z is much better for a stock exhaust.

TPMS was better on 350 and so was the digital speedometer.

15. Driving it gives me a boner

16. No regular aux port for nav models. It doesn't recognize usb on some android devices or mp3 players and this would make for an easy hookup

:confused: I love the exhaust note, even when it was stock (yes it was very quite when not in higher RPM).

But the 350Z sounded MUCH better stock.

I can't recall the sound of them, I wasn't around too many back in the day.

Regardless, it wasn't as jaw dropping of a car. :stirthepot:

You can pretend thats your stick shift if you get tired of your paddle shifters, sounds like a WIN WIN

16. stupid ped sticking out of front rotors prevents use of any aftermarket wheel set... thus must photoshop. :shakes head:

Move to a colder climate :icon17: In the winter after the car has been sitting outside all day at work I love getting in my Z and turning on the seat heater to hi. I usually only last a minute or two on hi but then throw it in lo. Feels really good having all that heat on my back, just want to melt in the seat!

17. No OEM access port in the under-shroud for doing easy oil changes.

18. No in-cabin trunk release easily accessible from sitting in the driver's seat like every other car in the world.

Not to be pedantic, but

The splash shield - if you unbolt the 4 rear bolts nearest to the rear of the car, you can fold the flap open for oil changes,

and there is an emergency trunk release below the trunk carpet. :tup:

Modified my original statement. trunk release in the trunk is pretty useless in what is essentially a hatch back.

19. Cannot adjust the auto-off timing of the headlights without navigation or a dealer and $100.

I guess there's a lack in reading comprehension and numbering skills since there's two #16's. That's ok, not everyone is educated

I believe it was a little more throaty and distinct in the lower RPMs. But yes I agree with jaw dropping part! ;)

21. Should have put an Analog clock in the cluster instead of the digital one.

22. On M6 model when I took my size 13 feet off the clutch and moved my foot to the left to rest, my toes still presses on a bar up top which was still a part of the clutch. One reason I got the A7.

Weird. I wear a 13 and have no problem.

15.5. Looking at it gives me a boner.

23. Fuel cap holder doesn't hold very well.

Biggest fails for me are definitely:

- music not streaming by bluetooth while the phone connects.
- can't open hatch from the inside.

I laugh when I have a passenger and they try to figure out how to open it if they have a sports bag in back or something.

24. Throttle lag

25. Auto on light setting before the parking light setting. Whenever I want to just have my parking lights on, people in front of me thinks I am flashing them.

I just make sure I go real fast. :icon17:

Isn't that setting adjustable?
