Could have sworn I saw it under the settings menu. Maybe I got it confused with one of the other lighting options. I'll check when I leave the office.

I think he's talking about the actual location of the "Auto" setting on the stalk. On my Toyotas it goes "Parking" -> "Headlights" -> "Auto" which makes sense. Nissan has "Auto" first so if you just want parking lights you have to flip past the auto mode which blips the headlights if it's dark out.

The sensitivity is adjustable on the nav models though.

Well...I think it's two different things. One being the auto-off/on timing, and the other the order of items on the stalk as you turn the knob.

26. Nissan designing the 7AT with a sealed transmission and making service on it extremely difficult.

27. The fact that I have to reset that stupid clock because it somehow always ends up losing time.

UnReal 11-22-2013 07:58 AM

28. Can't open/close the roof on the roadster with the keyfob

:iagree:

That and the fact that I have to set the clock and the time on the nav separately, and they lose time at different rates.

NissanGuy23 11-22-2013 08:17 AM

29. Getting out of the 370z, push open the door, it swings back and smacks into you and the stuff your holding before you can get out. Also, people wont realize how little effort it takes to close the door, so when they push it closed they use too much force and slam it. Also, when you get used to the small effort required to close the door, you fail to close Ford Explorer doors on the first two tries.

30. Hatch wont open with one press of the button, have to put your stuff down and use two hands to double press the button

Agreed on the first.

The second one... Mine opens with one touch. Then I just pull up on it...

Am I misunderstanding?

Agree! I hate it when going from the Z with light doors, to my Bimmer with heavy arse doors. Those things will slam shut on your leg if you are not careful.

I think the clock is based on Einstein's theory of relativity. The faster you go the more time slows down.

Adjust speed as necessary.

This typically only happens to me when it's cold out. Since you're in Fee-niks you probably don't see cold temps that often.

I think this issue effects only some Z's. My Z freinds in the area have the issue. Possible solution is removing the 2.5lb weight from the hatch / getting new springs. But mine does it hot or cold

As far as the clock goes - isn't it daylight savings time which sends it out of wack?

Yes to both of these! I learned that if you are quick enough while pushing the button, you can still grab the hatch with one hand. Nissan is loling so hard right now cause "dumb Fat American has no speed like Japanese samurai." :bowrofl:

Most of the time I can press the button a second time and the hatch will fully release so I can lift it with one hand. ymmv

That's cool that a couple pennies per side fixes the problem. It hadn't ever bothered me that much to look for a solution but I may go ahead and do it now that I know there is one. That said, I'm curious to see if the hatch falls on my head this winter, like my 350Z did, or if it will stay up like it's supposed to...lol.

I yell at my GF for slamming mine all the time. She is used to her VW Beetle, which requires Mr. Olympia bodybuilding style strength to shut.

Id rather directly fix the problem rather than have coins sitting in my hatch all ghetto style, the other option is pay $60 for springs. Im going to remove the weight from the hatch and see if that helps

Zteve 11-22-2013 05:09 PM

the fact that nissan made the car look so good it attracts every single punk kid ricer with a honduh into thinking you want to race at stoplights. strangely, it even works on moron little **** pickup truck drivers with the 6 inch lift and off-road tires into thinking the same thing

XPNSD IT 11-22-2013 05:09 PM

My trunk lid is bipolar. Sometimes it works fine, others I have to press button and pull up in sync.

31. Cubby lid opens up, (350z slide inside) and size is super small, could of been bigger...since we are being negative Nancy's. LOL

Ive always seen the cubby as the "huh you don't have navigation and we don't know what to do with this space so heres a cubby". Wouldn't mind seeing it go

One reasom to get nav if nothing else. Gotta do something with that huge gap other than a vertical glove box. Maybe a PONG video game.

32. When you turn the fan speed on the climate control on from the off position, the default is set so the A/C turns on so you have to push it to turn off the a/c compressor. Should be the other way around unless you are using defrost.

I just make sure to turn it off (not leave it on Auto or an on setting) and it doesn't bother me.

If I turn mine off with the A/C on, it turns back on with it. If I turn it off with no A/C, it keeps it off when I turn the fan on. Have you tried that?

33. (And somewhat related to door heft)...I can't get in or out of my car without bumping my feet against either the door or the kickplate. Happens. Every. Time.

34. Always pulling up the gas pump on the WRONG SIDE of the car. Every other car that I've driven has the fuel door on the driver's side, but NO! So, you have to back up and move to the right side without feeling like a real maroon :wtf2:. I've only had the car two years and you'd think I'd learn, but NO!

Service on mine was easy, about a 1-2 hour process. Less than 200$

most of the German have the fuel-cap on the passenger side too....

I think it's a good idea thus you have more room to open the driver's door... :icon17:
