That's cool that a couple pennies per side fixes the problem. It hadn't ever bothered me that much to look for a solution but I may go ahead and do it now that I know there is one. That said, I'm curious to see if the hatch falls on my head this winter, like my 350Z did, or if it will stay up like it's supposed to...lol.

Id rather directly fix the problem rather than have coins sitting in my hatch all ghetto style, the other option is pay $60 for springs. Im going to remove the weight from the hatch and see if that helps
