Dumb question about my underbody shield

Is it supposed to be closer to the ground than the rest of the car? I can push up on it and it gives way but then pops back to

I can push up on it and it gives way but then pops back to original position I am hoping it didn't come loose again but I haven't bottomed out or anything.. I just randomly decided to look there and noticed this Ill put a picture tomorrow so you guys know what I'm talking about but I hope I am making sense lol
