Hey, I like idling around. Watching my handsome self in the reflection of the buildings I roll by.

**** the traffic behind me.

What? 350z Enthusiast and up have VDC, any car built in 12' and higher years, by law must have sort of VDC. Which in the 370 is also able to be disabled, by default its on when the car starts.

My 2007 Enthusiast 350Z only had TCS.

Oh, yea, TCS then is bare minimum requirements for 2012 for some sort of TCS, whatever the car makers call theirs. Nissan is VDC, Volvo is is ESP, etc, etc.

For Nissan, TCS = Traction Control System whereas VDC = Vehicle Dynamics Control. VDC includes TCS but TCS does not include VDC. TCS only stops wheel spin whereas VDC is supposed to bring the breaks in to keep you from spinning. At least I think that's a pretty good basic way of describing the differences.

This thread is causing a big stir lol. I realized to just not pay attention to the recommendations and just drive it with full enjoyment. Once again i do apologize for my grammar im just very sick of writing formally.....

Too late dude, you are now paying attention and spelling correctly. See how much better life has gotten since you left the ricer-wanna-be-gangster SI crowd?

I do quit enjoy the thrill of driving the Z, and yes of course i agree with you that the Si is total garbage.

Finally had the chance to drive an Si a few weeks ago. Ex GF moved to Florida, I expected so much more from the Si. What a turd. Build quality was garbage, engine sounded...nervous. Handling was unbelievably vague, power was meak at best. Probably why I broke up with her....ba dum dum. Car sucked too.

Why is this terrifying? How does the vibration of the gear lever play in? I hope you are not looking at the stick while driving at terrifying speeds.

A poll may be in order. "Who is terrified at 6500 rpm's"

I don't track the car (or at least haven't yet) and I don't take it above 6k revs too frequently. I mentioned the vibration to indirectly reference how the car's character changes in high revs. If I didn't have a tach, or shift light, I probably would shift between 5.5 and 6 because it starts to feel like a different car.

I said nothing about terrifying speeds, I hope you didn't take that to mean I'm speeding while admiring the stitch work on my gear lever. I haven't made myself out to be that much of an idiot, have I?

Perhaps rather than "terrifying" I should've used a word with less connotation in the vernacular.. I find it alarming. How's that? :)

Yea the engine does sound like its going to explode past 5k. When my dad drove it he was afraid to go past because it just sounds bad. One of the flaws with the 370z, maybe with the new one (the new z) it will be smoother. And then we can dump the 400lb flywheel.

I think a lighter flywheel would help.
