Too late dude, you are now paying attention and spelling correctly. See how much better life has gotten since you left the ricer-wanna-be-gangster SI crowd?

I do quit enjoy the thrill of driving the Z, and yes of course i agree with you that the Si is total garbage.

Yea....what he said, lol.:tiphat:

Finally had the chance to drive an Si a few weeks ago. Ex GF moved to Florida, I expected so much more from the Si. What a turd. Build quality was garbage, engine sounded...nervous. Handling was unbelievably vague, power was meak at best. Probably why I broke up with her....ba dum dum. Car sucked too.

A poll may be in order. "Who is terrified at 6500 rpm's"

I don't track the car (or at least haven't yet) and I don't take it above 6k revs too frequently. I mentioned the vibration to indirectly reference how the car's character changes in high revs. If I didn't have a tach, or shift light, I probably would shift between 5.5 and 6 because it starts to feel like a different car.

I said nothing about terrifying speeds, I hope you didn't take that to mean I'm speeding while admiring the stitch work on my gear lever. I haven't made myself out to be that much of an idiot, have I?

Perhaps rather than "terrifying" I should've used a word with less connotation in the vernacular.. I find it alarming. How's that? :)

Its no Turbo S but itll surprise you if youre new to the game.

Yea the engine does sound like its going to explode past 5k. When my dad drove it he was afraid to go past because it just sounds bad. One of the flaws with the 370z, maybe with the new one (the new z) it will be smoother. And then we can dump the 400lb flywheel.

I think a lighter flywheel would help.

A friend at work has a regular Civic, late model, 2010, 11 maybe? My ex has a 2011 Si. The normal Civic feels like an overall better car. Not as "fast" obviously but just more solid in everything. Literally everything. From closing the door to some spirited traffic circles. really let down with the Si.

i Feel like these new gen SI's are a dissapointment and even degraded compared to the older models :shakes head:

If you want fewer obnoxious noises from the engine, a lightweight flywheel is going in the wrong direction. :rofl2:

Didnt Honda address the '11 and/or '12 years model issues? Basically brought back the "last best year..(mechanics", if you will) but kept the new styling? I vaguely remember reading that somewhere...then again the last honda I was interested in was the S2000. Looking forward to the NSX though. Pity theyre pandering to the Polar Bears...Porsche too. Theres no way I can correct snap over steer in a 800 pound bear. Just not gonna happen.

Unless your doing 7K clutch dumps in reverse.. your not driving hard enough.

It's unbelievable how much people on this forum hate on Si's..
I mean of course if you're driving a Z you shouldn't expect much from the Si, you're talking 4 cylinder 197 hp (25-28 mpg on average) vs a V6 332 hp (below 20 mpg). unless the Si is super/turbo charged you have no right to compare these two..

gotta clear up something with you dude...

we don't hate civic... any trim...

we just hate those farting-can-lambo-door-civic who can only show themselves off at high school 12 yrs old and race against prius to fatdonald's drive thru.

trust me if someone is doing that to a Civic they would do the same thing to any other car, even if you give them a Ferrari, they'd prob get an aftermarket fartcan and load it up with stickers. Although Civics are known more when it comes to riced out cars, its all about the individual driving the car. Honestly, they are a disgrace.. one of the reasons why I'm willing to trade my Si for a Z.

We've got our share of those guys too. As the car gets older and cheaper it'll just get worse.

we will just dislike the owner and feel sorry for the car, no matter it is a civic or ferrari... :tiphat:

in fact, many of the Z members here own both, so how could we just hate civic..? :icon17:

in fact, many lambo-door-Z in here got flame too.

good?

Theres this one guy at work, he has a murdered out late model Mazda3. Not Speed3, just Mazda3. Automatic, plenty horsepower stickers, Recaro seats, fart can the size of an Abraham's muzzle, plasti-dip wheels(can you do that to wheels? They look like an abortion), painted red rotors. What are those cheap knock off chinese tires...? Swirly tread ones. Ive looked for boost gauges, afraid Ill go blind if I stare too long though. didnt see any. What a POS and it sounds down right embarrassing. Pulling away in my plush Volvo he gives me an eye. Id smoke him in the Volvo, straights, turns, reverse. Id smoke him in my 10 year old beater accord not to mention the 370...."sigh"....hipsters....

Being an owner of an 2011 Si, I hated it. Over 5k RPMs my grandmother would grab for the door handle trying to time the jump from the car.. Glad that poor thing didnt have a heart attack in there

I wouldn't mind having a Civic for a DD.
