What year is your Si and how many miles are on it?

nhbpcivicsi 11-02-2013 11:11 AM

2007, 55K miles

So you turned down $8k for a almost 12 year old Honda civic.

Fun thread. THanks.....

I check our source for trade in valve national average on your car is 9500, and no dealer will care its boosted or whatever mods you have. Sell it private party if you want more, its how the system works...Probably had a bad CSC, thats common unfortunately.

That's the best way to do it, especially if you don't want the mods to devalue the car. And if they won't play ball on the price on the Z, there's a bunch for sale here for similar prices.

Yeah man, too many signs pointing you not to get that particular Z. I think it would be best to either look at another one somewhere else or hold on to what you got. You said it yourself, you're not in a hurry. Might as well wait until you are happy with everything instead of being dissatisfied with your purchase.

OP- just on the first page of the for sale forums. I didn't pay attention to where they're located, since a Southwest Airlines ticket is under $200.

Nismo- http://www.the370z.com/370z-sale/811...deal-here.html

loaded 2010 Touring/Sport with nav and less miles- http://www.the370z.com/370z-sale/809...z-touring.html

I'm not vouching for either car, I'm just pointing out that there's other options, some of them better, at or around your price point.

I was rushing to take a walk before it rained :)

:iagree:

:icon17: As I started walking, I realized that I was thinking 7 & wrote 12........or drugs:p Got a 2.5+ mile brisk walk.

He also gets tax credit for his trade. Many if not most Honda owners like their own mods..Most of the time people's mods deduct the value.

It looks like this guy doesn't want to do the deal. Finding a buyer for a modded older car & getting the price he's looking for can take forever, if ever. He just wants us to beg him to buy a Z. That's how I see this, & I'm sticking to it.

Therefore my msg. to him is still, PLEASE DON'T BUY A Z......

I was thinking that I would get somewhere around $10k and I did tell the dealer that if he wants I could return it back to stock since I have all the stock parts.. didn't make a difference to him though

I agree! lots of signs.. first the car is listed with 17K miles, when I drove it, it was at 19.5K miles.. dealer claims it was owner's son demo car, then I was told that it had an issue with the clutch and the door that had to be replaced, which is something that they didn't tell me in the first place.. will probably keep looking around for a better option!! maybe even consider a BRZ/FR-S

This is a really good option! I just don't think that I have time to travel to get the car, might take too long and I have school and work everyday, even on weekends

dude I wouldn't want you specifically to beg me to do anything, you cant even perform simple mathematical operations.. clearly you got some issues to think that I want anyone here to beg me, i just wanted to get opinions from people who already own the vehicle (excluding people like you) and the decision will be mine to make

Ignore Andre, he doesn't own a 370. He's just here because the 350 forums banned him.

You'll see that I was not banned. Easy to do. Also while you're there check the off topic financial thread. They are asking where I am:) One guy posted his financial page from his broker. It shows him with a $2,400+ profit with buying ONLY 500 shares of NYNY @ $2.23 per share. Not bad for a few months. They are asking me what to do now? Can't tell them cause I don't even know :icon17:

Anyway you're right about not owning a 370, but I'll be looking at a 2012 White Nismo with 6k miles (I think) next week. Since I'm paying cash, it will be in my pockets on that day. I'm worth robbing next week :) Maybe not

That's all great. I'm sure the OP gives a huge pile of ***** about your penny stocks. Don't you realize the hypocrisy of coming in here trying to talk him out of buying a 370 when you don't own one yourself? I guaran-goddamn-tee you this forum would rather have the OP as a member of this community than you.
