Which leads back to the point: Drive both and decide on your own if you have a brain and emotions you should be able to figure it out

I expected the decision to be much easier to make, but first impression wasn't all that great, although sitting in the Z it felt like a true sports car, unlike the Si which feels just a bit above an average car..

Don't buy a Z....

I think the important thing to remember is you shouldn't buy it because you think you should want it or others think you should. You should only buy it if you want it. If you're wanting a sports car and not sold 100% on the Z you should test drive other options.

what's your point? for all you know my car might look 100 times better than yours! not just cuz I have a civic and you have a Z you can assume that yours automatically look better.. people have different tastes you know..

You mad??? I never said my car looks better than yours! But now that you mention it, you obviously think civic IS better than Z.

So like other people have mentioned before... Don't Buy a Z!!!!!!

I didn't read all the replies, but if you find the right dealer you can get a better deal than that. Add about 4k and it's poss to be in a 2013 base+ sport with less than 3k on it. Especially from a dealer that sells them seasonally and lowers the prices the later it gets.

Buy a Z.

luigi90210 11-02-2013 01:35 AM

if you need to be convinced to buy a Z than stay away

you have to want to buy one, you shouldnt have to be sold on one

It took me about 2 weeks to really feel comfortable in the z and get a real feel for it

If you're worried about getting a better deal on your trade-in, why not go to a Carmax (if you have one in your area) and see what they'll give you for your car. Their offer usually is good for a week. Doing that will give you an idea how much to expect for your trade-in.

As for the Z, I bought mine used in '09 with 7,000 miles for $25k I have a MagBlack Sport Base 7AT. The dealer wanted $31k for it but since I didn't HAVE to buy it but I just really wanted one, I went with a low ball offer. The sales guy laughed at me but we went back and forth until we settled on $25k. Of course I told him a little white lie that another dealer across town was selling me one for $25k but I didn't like the color or some crap like that.
,
The point is, make them an offer, you've got nothing to lose. Yeah, they may laugh at you but hey, it's your money. The Z was my DD until April last year, that's when my daughter was born. Now, it's my friday-sunday car. Mon-thursday I drive my beater Hyundai Elentra.

Goodluck with everything.

I just came back from the dealer, he offered me 8k 'allowance' for my Si, i simply laughed.. final price OTD came out to $19k for the Z, told him i wont be able to pay more than $15 OTD. im honestly not in a hurry or anything, i love my Si too much so if i get what im asking for i might consider.. another thing that threw me off is that he told me today that the car is a 'nissan buy back' or something like that, meaning the owner returned it to the dealership because there was an issue with the clutch and the door and the dealership gave him a new one and supposedly fixed this one that im looking at..
