As it appears from my name I currently drive a 2007 Honda civic Si coupe, and im thinking its time to change things up since I've had the car for about two years! Im just having difficulties to accept the fact that if I do purchase the Z, maintenance will definitely go up, and gas of course.. what do you guys think? has anybody else made this switch before? any help would be appreciated

25K is a nice price for that car. If they will take 23K grats. Buy it either way, not much diff in monthly price.

It's going to be a big change. Learning the new clutch will be the first obstacle. It's a not a zip around town and get the groceries car. You will think it lacks some "quickness" at first compared to an SI.

But it is an upgrade. You will know it instantly. Besides, we have the coolest forum members on the planet and you can come hang out with the cool kids once you buy it!

I personally feel under 50K there is not a better looking car-that's my opinion obviously. But if you want to do track days or a little bit of racing, it is a very fast car as well once you get over its learning curve and learn how it works. In the hands of the right driver on any given road course vs any other OEM car, it might be one of the fastest cars there is for < 40K.

Throw on an exhaust, CAI, and tune for ~4k and you have a 300 rWHP racing machine that wil turn people's heads and get you comments and questions.

23k would be nice. You're not going to feel like you get ripped off at 25k either. It's definitely the best car you can get for 25k.

I had an 06 Fiji Blue and the best thing about the upgrade was this weird thing called torque. Also, don't miss that FWD.

(I did have an S2k and a WRX before I finally settled on the Z....for now.)

yah, just drive backwards in your civic and you'll get a nice simulation of a RWD car. should be plenty of convincing.

I would only pick the WRX because it's a year round car. Living in the nasty midwest, I'm only able to drive the Z for about 7 months out of the year. The WRX is a blast in snow, but it did not get me the attention the Z has, even with a loud Perrin exhaust installed. But, I would not go back to the WRX right now...love the Z too much.

I didn't read all the replies, but if you find the right dealer you can get a better deal than that. Add about 4k and it's poss to be in a 2013 base+ sport with less than 3k on it. Especially from a dealer that sells them seasonally and lowers the prices the later it gets.
