So I've been in the market for a 370z for a while and I keep getting torn between a base 370z with the sport package or the Nismo Z. I can't seem to justify the price difference between the models, especially when it's just a few bolt-on upgrades.

i seriously considered the nismo.

The reason I talked myself out of it was simply because this is my daily driver. If I wanted a purely track car MAYBE i would change my mind.

that said I bought a base with sport package and upgraded the stereo system myself

It seems like you already know what the best choice is.

Main factor I would consider is transmission. Sync-rev is great.

It depends on what you want. The Nismo is much stiffer and rough on the roads ( so I hear) and the base or touring is more street. Maybe a base model would be just as good for you and later get some upgrades ; HFC, exhaust, headers, and intakes. JUST AS GOOD if not better

I did too, that was the car that made me trade my 350Z. However the only dealer in the area that have it was an a$$hole. So I got a base with Sport Pkg. from another dealer and I'm pretty happy!

Base with sport is faster than a Nismo. If that's not convincing enough, then I don't know what is. Unless you want to spend money on Nismo stitching and garish front and rear fascias...then get a Nismo.

I had both of my seats custom done in leather with the Z logo for $1k. Seems like a better deal.

Test drive both, see if you think it's worth it. IM0 performance is very close, I would say go with the Nismo if you prefer the looks, body kit, wheels, wing, etc.

i went for the nismo for the same reason (it's my daily driver too) .

the way i see it: people drive trucks, vans, SUV, sedans, etc. to work -- i drive a track car to work

nope, i got what he said but i didn't communicate well in that post.

he didn't go for the nismo because he didn't want a track car as a daily driver. i, on the hand, went for the nismo because i wanted a track car as a daily driver.
