Excess oil consumption can be a problem but doesn't seem to affect too many ppl. Keep an eye on oil level. Car tends to run hot in stop-and-go traffic or hard driving for extended periods. Keep an eye on oil temp (many threads on here as to what is "normal" temps). Browse this (and other) 370Z forums and you will get a good idea of what the quirks of the Z are. The car does a very good job of protecting itself - if something gets out of spec, the ECU will reduce engine output. If things get bad enough, it will go into limp mode.
