Default Funny!

Glad you guys have a sense of humor. Now that I have purchased a used 2010 black MT with 29k, is there anything I need to watch out for? I just did the steering lock recall done.

The car is not going to be raced or driven particularly hard. Are there any oil issues (my RX8 had a lot of that)?

I highly recommend pulling the steering lock (ESCL) (AKA: SLU) fuse. Search for an SLU fuse DIY on this site (I've collected most of the threads/info at the thread in my sig).

Excess oil consumption can be a problem but doesn't seem to affect too many ppl. Keep an eye on oil level.

Car tends to run hot in stop-and-go traffic or hard driving for extended periods. Keep an eye on oil temp (many threads on here as to what is "normal" temps).

Browse this (and other) 370Z forums and you will get a good idea of what the quirks of the Z are.

The car does a very good job of protecting itself - if something gets out of spec, the ECU will reduce engine output. If things get bad enough, it will go into limp mode.
