Then again maybe not, i vaguely remember forgetting my keys in my house while it was running and pulled out of the driveway...i THINK.

You can absolutely drive away without the key, and the car will perform as normal... only problem is once you shut it off your not gonna be able to start it back up obviously. My mom did this in her MB CLS.. had to call AAA and get a tow home! lol
