Warm Up / Oil Temp Gauge

i usually start the car and go, but refrain from spirited driving until the car is warmed up...sort of like how it works on the m3 where you can't rev all the way up until its warm

It's freaking 25 degrees out! Yes that's below freezing. I always warm up my car. If I am running a little late, then I would keep the RPMs below 3K until the engine warms up.
