The following TL;DR is brought to you by Driver Awareness.
"Ninja Medians" by ZBro16 Amidst scandals, embassy invasions, healthcare bills, and Miley Cyrus, it can be difficult for the average American to be aware of real dangers that are skipping under the radar in our country. In a small town of Florence, Alabama, concrete medians have begun shifting with the tectonic plates of the earth on which they reside, making for hazardous driving situations. While the general demographic of Florence drives F-150s, local resident JohnYu of Florence, a foreign exchange student at Hooked on Phonics, feels the issue is far more dangerous and should be taken more seriously for those who cannot drive vehicles that weigh 5000+lbs and have a foot or more of ground clearance. He was struck by a moving median on the highway. Quote:

If I were the OP, here's where I would make a new account, type like a normal human from here on out and let the original account fade away. We may forgive, but we never forget this kind of thing.
And I've got to admit I'm impressed with the people here. All of the ammunition he gave us and no one makes an Asian driver joke? Did I just miss it? |

nope... I didn't read the entire thread.... cos my eyeballs dropped :icon14: after reading the 1st page and I was busy looking for them.... Quote:

Yeah, the OP is more Simple Jack than Rain Man. He went full retard. You never go full retard.

I didn't miss that part.... but I doubt he can ever type like normal human.... |

True.... but I bet he just let the auto-suggest/correct put the word on his post without thinking.... gosh.... can't kids really type these days......... ?:icon14: |
This thread has gotten pretty abusive.
Not really up to my expectations of the Z brotherhood. I know this is all anonymous, so it seems "safe" to bash people you have never met, but I respectfully request we try to be civil in here. All this OP bashing bums me out. I'm sure the OP's judgement error was pretty well "self critiquing". I don't really see the benefit beating a dead horse. |

Admittedly some fun was had but enough is enough. |
It'll be locked soon enough, I'm sure.

wow.. i have been reading this thread for a while.. i work at car dealership and you be suprise to know the questions people ask regarding issues with cars..
remember people will not ask questions if they get ripped apart and i think most of people are here to share information regardless of how stupid it might sound to you.. let me give you an example how many people ask me the question about the "V4" engine in cars!! |

I get carte blanc on this because my gf is Chinese. Asian drivers man... (I don't know how to make a racist Asian car driving joke, I thought it was a joke anyways...) |

It's just the combination of Inglish being used and the OP not accepting something that was his fault. If he doesn't know proper English, tell us. Members abroad tell us all the time, and we understand. (Side note, I know "LOL" isn't "proper English," but there is a space and time for everything. |
I was kinda bothered by this thread. It has inspired me to submit this for our collective consideration.

I hate to tell you so, but you kind of asked for it by talking on the phone. You even said it was dark out. Probably should have been paying attention.

The bashing starts when ppl ask stupid (no quotes) questions. Eg, "I wrecked my car while talking on my cell phone. Who can I scam into paying for the repairs?" Or when they get stupid and don't want to take the advice of knowledgeable ppl. "Stupid" questions usually get a helpful response. Stupid questions are like chum to a shark. |

The OP doesn't get all these bashing for no reason. 1) He was driving AND talking on the phone. 2) He wrecked his own car by his own mistake 3) He asks if he can claim the dealer to replace those parts he wrecked under warranty 4) He is posting in an English language forum, shouldn't he at least respect the language..? does anything above make sense to a discipline drive with common sense....?? Put it in a bad way... yes.. looks like we are bashing him.... however, put it in a positive way.... we are just trying to lead him back to the right direction. :tiphat: |

I'm sorry but his poor grammar, condescending attitude, and inability to take responsibility for his actions made me jump on this. Some people need to learn that if they want to be taken seriously, they need to act/type appropriately.
If OP Posted a thread such as "I screwed up and wrecked my car. Does anyone have any recommendations for what I should do next?" Instead OP came off as an immature kid and got treated as such. I suggest he learns to act like an adult, make a new profile, and start over. I'm all for second chances. |
