Maybe the Z isn't for you. Have you looked at the G37's, or other cars of similar fortitude? It sounds like Nissan actually has gone above and beyond trying to help, but unless you can choose one from the factory, there is only so much the dealership can do after trying to correct the problem.

Good luck with the paint issue, I hope it all gets resolved to your satisfaction.

Unfortunately that seems to be what it's coming down to. However, the dealer could do more and offer me an additional discount on the car. I will have to do an entirely new purchase agreement on this second one so the price isn't set in stone as of now. Or...they could just let me out of the deal entirely and I will wait for the 2010's to come out and hope for better quality paint.

The sad part is that I really LOVE this car...it's just beautiful and I love the ride...but I do expect quality paint and should settle for no less than that.

HUH? Nissan is infamous about working their way out of warrenty things. Paint is bad , fix it, done deal. There should be no problems but Nissan doesnt work that way. All they have to do is pay for a new paint job. Bring a lemon law lawyer with you next time you meet with the guys. They are bringing their rep so bring yours.
