Police ticketing for loud exhausts

I also had tons of complaints about my exhaust as it would set off car alarms going down the road and in the apartment complex.... It could not be avoided trust me plus it became more of a game too! if you have had a loud exhaust you know exactly what I am talking about... How many alarms can you set off in a parking deck hehehehehe

It depends on your level of empathy for others - if you're considerate of what time it is...

For example, I play drums semi-professionally. I practice on my own at my house when I'm up to it - and I don't play past 9PM. Noise ordinance only applies to amplified music...and it's a case of "if you're loud enough to cause a complaint, you're too loud" for my city.

Technically, since my drums are not amplified, I could play at 2AM with the windows open and be a real asshat. There's even been times (recording/testing), that I'd really like to...but, I don't.

Same with my bike. The exhaust is loud even at idle, but I make sure I don't run it any longer than I have to, and sure as hell don't rev it outside of 9AM - 9PM.
