Default Highspeed Dynamic Stability Control Question

It seems it only kicks in when I am accelerating around a curve. I seen it blink even 3rd to 4th in cooler weather. I usually leave it off in city driving and on the highway. I would like to know in advance how it acts if I need to avoid an obstacle on the highway. Does it apply brakes individually to prevent spin?

yah, it's a dynamic yaw control so it tries to keep your car from spin outs. you can turn off VDC but not entirely. even while the vdc is turned off, if you throttle up/lift and cars starts to spin, the car will try to correct itself via yaw control.

Default Yaw

I assumed DSC off mean all you had ABS and that's it. Interesting.

I found this thread: YAW Sensor Rocker Switch

My 2003 BMW Z4 had multilevel (modes) of DSC
  • Overcautious
  • Allowed some wheel spin
  • Assumed Completely off

The 370 does not.

Emphasis on try - not prevent. Good wording, Ken.

Install a switch inline to the yaw sensor to kill it 100% on the track.

I cringe at the new technology car makers are coming out with. The Infinity has accident avoidance for cars "crashing" or whatever, ahead of you that you can't see. What happens when the car triggers a false positive on the freeway at 75 mph in dense traffic? Time to get back to driving a car and not the car driving you.

Not to hi-jack but I must agree with this statement. A warning to tell you about people in front of the guy in front of you? I see the point but how many of you also judge what is happening in front of the guy in front of you as well if you can see? It would appear that the guy is just brake-checking you and could reasonably be thought to cause some major problems. People need to drive their cars instead of texting while driving. All these new features are designed to enable distracted driving.

Anyhow... Back to you.
