3.8 genesis is in my mind...As well as an sti and evo (not as much cause insurance is up with the 370) or the brz or 2015 stang...All have its bonus's and downsides

Be VERY WARY of an S5. Trust 1st hand experience. Love the design...but...NEVER ANOTHER AUDI again. Or BMW.

Don't get me wrong the VQ is an awesome engine but in 2014 it's really outdated, 19/26mpg w/ 330hp? competitors running with similar/more power engines and getting better mpg's.

The engine is a good reliable unit, it's just inefficient compared to the competitors, I mean you are getting v8 mileage out of a v6.

So I tend to agree with the panel that the VQ is getting way too long in the tooth in current form, with that said I think if D/I was implemented raising power/mpg output it could definitely live to see another day.

From personal experience the vq35hr in my 07 was one of my most favorite engines, especially coupled with the famous wookie growl (that the stock 370z completely forgot)
I agree. I remember my biggest excitement for the 370 was it was shorter and wider. .. I assumed weight would be shaved down but instead it's like the same weight. My 350z I shaved down to around 2900 pounds without effecting the interior cosmetics. I am really hoping for a new Z sub 3000 pounds with a 4 cylinder turbo putting at least 320 hp

You do realize less cylinders does not always mean less weight, especially if you are slapping on a turbo, plus piping, intercooler, etc.

Its easier and cheaper to add more power than to shave substantial weight. Itll be a re-worked 3.7 VQVHR making around 380-400 BHP. Throw in the Q50 cockpit, exterior who knows, but theres the Z35. I bet. Probably. WTF do I know? LOL

Guys

I have a serious problem. The last 4 days straight I've done nothing but research brz's, evo x's, and wrx/sti's. Literally all day at work cause I'm turning huge stainless parts...which mean 1.5 hour cut and 5 mins of moving aftereards...to start another cut. Lol.

Still don't know which I would like. I think coming from the stang I'd need more than a brz power...which puts me at evo...but then I wouldn't save money anywhere. Wrx I'd save on payment and tiny gas....and have 4 doors...but it's not as pretty as the other 2. Brz is sexy and handles lime a dream but god awfully slow

I'm in no position to test drive. Holidays means busy and still being upside down like a thousand on my stang says nonono

Anything else I can look up? Or talk about? I got today and to.orrow to research! Lol

You have a good job? Family fed? happy? Healthy? Not gonna lose your home if you buy a car right?

If all of these are yes, IMO, id do it. Actually probably am, lol. No kids though so skys the limit, say $35K!! LOL.

Edit: Oh, out of your choices, Id go WRX. Brz, coming from power, youll miss it. EVO is....just hideous. Fast but hideous.
