I'm in if they get it right. Electric motors have all of their torque available from 0 rpm. Smaller probably means lighter as well. A turbo four could be interesting, especially if it's under 3000 lbs. I don't get how people can say no to something we know nothing concrete about.

Any new Z is better than no new Z. The brand must live on. There is nothing wrong with owning one of the classics! I'm proud of my Z34 and will probably be buried in it. Ten years from now, it will be neat to show up to meets in a well-maintained 15 year-old car.

Glad I have a daily driver to keep the miles down!

Very true. If they don't get the sales up, they'll kill the Z. It wouldn't be the first time. At the rate I buy new cars, I'll be looking again sometime in 2021. I still need the daily driver, but it's too much fun to drive the Z every day.

Chuck, I'm with you. While mine doesn't have all the cool stuff yours does, I still enjoy driving it on a daily basis. I can't see owning a car and leaving it in the garage, only to be driven on the weekends when the sun is out.

I wouldn't mind a daily driver for rainy days and running errands where I need to buy more than two loaves of bread, though. I might need to pick up a $1500 Craigslist beater truck and $49/mo liability only insurance.
