I hate the 2014 stang. I will get rid of it as soon as I'm not *** backwards on my loan and can save a few k for a little extra Down on something. It is so ugly on the back and big. Christmas bonus and tax return going to dad. Then he'll be paid off (3.5k) and I can save.

Too late for the blinders! Lol. I've hated this car since a couple days after I bought it sadly

Really? Ive driven the 5.0. Loved it, not what i was looking for but liked it. What dont you like, other than the rear (I love the rear on the 12-14).

What got me on this whole turbo 4 bandwagon was my friend wanting to trade me his tuned speed 3 (exhaust and tune)

He used to have a mustang (what actually made me want one after seeing It In person heading to the canyons one night) but had to get rid of it due to spending 1200 a month in gas for work. Then jobs changed and he knew I didn't street race and also knew I wanted to sell it

Long story short he gave me a ride in it and that thing felt faster than the stang! It had maybe 260 whp I think he said...but I just loved the exhaust note and the sound the turbo made (never ridden in a turbo car before)

So since all this I've been wanting a turbo 4 as well as better looks. I would turbo the brz...and it would cost less than am evo or sti....but I can't finance the turbo

Lol why don't you like the mustang man? you got gobbs of power!

The reason I didn't buy one was because;

1. had 3 people with me on the test drive (cousin and sales guy), so the already heavy boat, well I was just trying not to hit the iceberg.

2. My god the body roll, took a corner and I seriously felt like the shell was going to fly off, or that I was on one of those child ride things on 1 tall spring.
Didn't help that the nose dove up and down on accel and heavy braking.

3. Interior felt like, idk like I was filling up my water bottle from my stainless fridge.

4. Wasn't fond of the brick like aerodynamics.

Youre referring to the 5.0? Wow, yes, it had body roll but not yacht like. Interior was ok, not mush worse than a base 370. I like the aero, think its mean looking. Much nicer than the Challenger, Chargers and I LOATHE Camaros.

Idk but I felt like the stang interior ('11 base w/ brembos 3.73), It was just plain, and I hated the center console... honestly looked like an appliance, it was like my fridge, it's cool.... I guess as cool a refrigerator can be. Gauges didn't help with the boat feel either.

edit: even the base 370z interior and the awkward gas gauge felt 100x more engaging to me.

I just typed out this long as story to answer the question of why I didn't like it and my phone said we to no service mode after I hit enter....and now I do t have it. Here's a short version

Not as sexy as I'd like it

Gas mileage of 12.6 (**** epa numbers. I baby it and can get 18 hwy and 13 city. And I mean shifting at 2.5k rpms and cc 70 in 6th gear)took it from daily driver and canyons twice a month to errands after work (ride with dad to work again) and canyons once a month if I'm lucky.

And this car ain't made for canyons (duh)

Basically impulse bought it cause I didn't get approved for a loan for the 370 and got hooked on power. Not what I should have purchased and now I pay the price. It's fast, it looks ok, but it's no canyon carver or a daily drive (at least when commute is 26 miles one way)

This. Get your dad paid back, get your mustang paid down to where you have significant equity built up, and then buy something else. With a huge down payment.

With today's low interest rates (although he is so young he might not qualify), no money down is a great option. I'll pay that 1.49-1.99% all day long on a car note so I can invest the cash at 10%+ (32% in 2013).

Debt is not scary or a bad thing. Success is determined in how you leverage it.

What cash???? no offence to him, but hes 21 and way upside down a 5.0. Yea, borrow at low percentage and retain cash making more %. Great idea, IF you have the cash.

This only works if you have the cash on hand, and the discipline to invest it and not spend it. If you're paying <3%, by all means. Over that, paying down the note is a better plan.
