There were two or three walnuts that they couldn't get to without taking off the dash. They don't really roll around too much so I told them to leave them

There were two or three walnuts that they couldn't get to without taking off the dash. They don't really roll around too much so I told them to leave them there.
Why not crack the nuts and pull out the smaller pieces?
