Brushed Nickel Front/Rear Nissan Badges
What is the general consensus on having them verses the chrome?
I think it would be neat having them match the door handles and the "370z" emblem. |
I dunno.. i'm thinking body color handles and debadging all my emblems
|
Black out everything
|
^even handles? it might look weird.
i like debadging since it's more clean that way |

colour matched door handles
debadged 370z for a black,white or grey Z: black out the nissan emblems and fill in N I S S A N with grey paint or white.............guaranteed awesomeness |
I definitely find it weird that the handles and emblems don't match. One way or the other, I could care less, but at least make them match.

i still stand on my ideas lol debadge and flushed. color matched handles
|
paint everything black. thats what i did =)
|
Color matched handles? Why not shaved handles... then you don't have to worry about matching anything:tup:
|
Very interesting. Considering putting these into production, but with a "Z" instead of Nissan. Brushed would not be tough, but body color is a hard thing to match for production items.
|
brushed z would be perfect...
|
Well I'll go to the salvage yard and pull an emblem, get the dimensions and crank out a couple as soon as the mill and vertical lathe open up. We'll test out what finishes come out best.
|
Depends on the color of the car.
|
is it just metal products or can you make other things too

Um, none of the above?
I've never been a fan of the Nissan hamburger. Having just a nice Z on each end would be enough for me. No other badges! And the door handles suck. My wife complains that they are nail-breakers (especially when you switch hands on the offside door). I'd prefer a "stealth" door opening solution, body color only if it can be scratch-proof, otherwise brushed nickel. |

well we come back to the fact that the body has depressions where the emblems lay. The hamburger will be gone, only the exterior circle and nubs on either side. I'll do up a drawing here shortly. To answer the other, We can do about anything, but don't deal with wood. Most any metal, or plastic. |

Id also like a nice Z emblem vs the Nissan logo...but then ill need center caps too...

I would love to purchase a burshed nickel or chrome "Z" to replace the Nissan emblem! I had and "S" on my S2000 and loved it.
|
Just ordered the Carbon Fiber front and back emblems today from the z source. As soon as my Z arrives I will put them on.

Yeah sorry guys. Haven't had much time to give to this project. I'll get that drawing and we can take a census on what adjustments should be made.
