Oh an how blind could I have been not to see these differences. You forgot to mention the differing color options btw... Anyway even with all those CRAZY differences you pointed out... they still seem to run against each other rather well. And stop quoting numbers from a spec sheet and instead look at the driving dynamics. I swear, spec sheet racing is worse than the butt dyno. Either way... my point still stands... they are both worth the money, they both cost in the same area, and they both produce performance which would make them rivals. This gets back to what I said about people being butt hurt that the mustang is even considered a competitor... Get out from under the rock and stop living off the cool-aid. Its not a bad thing to say a Z is comparable with 100 less hp... Among reading this forum, and mustang forum comments. You all wanna know what the biggest reason I see people buying one or the other? 1. There aren't a billion Z's out there. 2. Mustangs have a great bang for the buck in modding. 2. People want a muscle car looking car 3. People want a sports car looking car. |

Ironically as much as I am not a fan of Subi's or Toyota's... I freaking love the BRZ/FR-S. It's a nice light car, has a lot of potential, and with a nice turbo could make some impressive numbers I think. I compare it to a hard top Miata... and those things hold their own. I do think in 5-10 years they will be lill monsters at HDPE events. I mean... comon! http://www.forcegt.com/wp-content/up...02-614x409.jpg And its not about how fast a car can get you around... its how fast you can get the car around... :driving: Once you figure that out, you appreciate other cars a lot more. But then again, this is coming from a guy who would like to drop Coilovers and a 5.0 into an old Mercury Zephyr station wagon... and *attempt* to troll around the track :icon17: |
I love watching shitty cars go fast...

Kool-Aid... With a "K" :)
Extra sugar. |
You guys ever hear s2000 owners argue that it's better than brz. Awesome debate comparison right there.

22 pages and still going..................................I love FRS/BZR's, but I have yet to find a non douche bag driving one. Here lately I get them driving by revving their engines trying to get me to race. I guess with an after market exhaust, lowered and rims they think they are suddenly fast. Whatever.....................At least when guys in Mustangs do it they can back it up.

^^^
+1 I was a witness to a douche wanting to play with me in my Z!!!! I had to give him the squinty eyes and I keep the speed limit. |

you guys stateside need more technical roads...then that need for speed will die down quickly....
Tantalus Rd. |
We have plenty on the east coast. My favorite technical road is I-95 between the hours of 6AM-9AM and 4PM-7PM.

Which is why I love the Tail of the Dragon. If you can't have fun on that road maintaining 35 mph, then you're doing something wrong. Of course, driving it faster is insanely fun (or so I've heard :ugh2:), but the turns are extremely tight. Doing the speed limit on that road will give you all the thrills you could want. |

Hwy 89A by Jerome AZ. Hwy89A is technical. I think I calculated a curve every 800' for about 11 miles. You can't go fast but you can have fun and it will tell you a LOT about your car and how well it handles. I go there after I buy each car to "test" them so I can see how they do compared to each other.

I test drive them before, but this is area is more than a few hours from home. Its a weekend journey. When I go I normally do it over a 3 day weekend and hit many of the roads in the area. Same with when I go run canyons in SoCal. I don't do that for the test drive but I do take each car down there to see how they do. |
Get the NISMO or Coupe "auto", don't get the manual. The 2015 Z's are faster down to 12.7 s. The Z ET's just as fast through the 1/8th as the Boss. The Z handles 2X as good, gets better MPG's, brakes better & has better aero. The Boss is all hype & all it does is goes straight.

Have to be honest here to a fellow member. The Boss Stang is pretty sweet, has the power, the ride, handling etc etc. But at the end of the day it is still a Mustang. The Nismo is freaking awesome as well. Fun to drive good power, handling is nice. But it is still a 370z. The one key difference for me is that are so many Mustangs on the road already, I rarely see 370's, let alone Nismos. Drive them both and see which you like better.

This thread died in June of 2013 until some jackass decided to bump it trying to troll. I'm sure the OP made his decision a long time ago.

Depends what you want from the car. I had a friend of mine who bought a Boss for road racing and ended up trading the car in 2 months later. He said it was fast and handled decently but he got bored of it rather quickly.
