Default Coming Home Device

So I somehow ended up on the Motor Trend website looking at the full specs of the 370Z and I noticed it has this thing called the, "Coming Home Device." I googled this and all I found were assumptions as to what it is.

Anyone here know exactly what this is?

If we are guessing, it could also be the Homelink garage door opener.

Well Motor Trend lists the garage door opener separately from the coming home device.

This is the link to where I found it: Used 2011 Nissan 370Z Touring Coupe interior Specs - 2011 Nissan 370Z Touring Coupe Seats, Floormats, Leg Room - Motor Trend Magazine

Possibly true but I found another source showing this device and the garage door opener as two different things.

I think the "garage door" buttons can also be programmed to remote lights inside the house and maybe that's what they're talking about???

Correct, it's the Homelink system.

I guess it was too much trouble to write "Homelink" or maybe they wanted to make it seem like it was some awesome futuristic device that made you dinner and got your bath ready once the car gets close to home.

Yeah, the original home link was strictly garage doors. When you could use to program other functions like turning on lights, security systems etc, they added the term coming home device.

I think my Homelink has room for three functions. I don't have two other things to do with it, that I know of. If I put a solenoid on my gate I suppose I could unlock it.
