Let me correct that, one the millions of ways they are above the law, and never incriminated for illegal, BLATANTLY illegal actions like speeding, running stop signs, having their car violate equipment laws, and so on? Dont get me started on the list.

Dude, you got a warning. I don't get why you're so fired up about this. Yes, cops occasionally get away with things that would get us a ticket. Their job also requires them to get shot at on our behalf for crappy pay. I'm ok with the trade-off. Every ticket I've ever gotten was either my fault for breaking the law or my fault for being a smartass. And if you're talking about them speeding and running signs in a marked car- just because the flashers and sirens aren't on, doesn't mean they're not responding to a call.

One of my Cop Cousins got a speeding ticket in another state. He flashed the badge but it didn't change anything. He was pissed, lol.

The vast majority of cops I've run into are regular folks who are trying to feed their families by doing a (mostly) thankless job. Sure, there are a few bad ones (as with any other group of humans) but, for the most part, they are just trying to make a living and not out to "get" anybody.

I'm not so sure that the OP ran into a bad cop. The cop could have noticed the illegal tint the day/week before (many of us buy Zs because they stand out from the crowd and are memorable) and was too busy to pull OP over at the time. But I wasn't there, so that's just a wild guess.

In any case, since OP was running illegal tint, IMNSHO, he should be happy that all he got was a warning.

I belive you where marked like above. It's a high profile car we are always targeted by cops or jealous punks. I smile and wave to passing cops in my hood they don't seem to target. Now I have been followed 63miles on Highway by a cop that was just wanting me to screw up somehow didn't happen even with 80% on sides and rear.... Maybe he was a fan?

I regularly get thumbs up from cops in my city. It's not a small city, either. Even one or two thumbs up from the outlying suburban "Speed Trap" city. I'm far from inconspicuous, too. Heck, one even rolled his window down at the stop light and wanted to compare notes; apparently he had a modded 350 lol.

Point being...don't lump all cops into the same group, cuz they're not. Some are bullish, some aren't.

On one of the nights I got a thumbs up on the interstate, it was from a cop who paced me for just long enough to make sure I saw his appreciation. You know what else was happening? There was another cop riding my bumper, who'd been there since I turned onto the interstate, and stayed there until I got off ---- nearly 11 miles. The thumbs up cop was clearly amused at the bumper riding cop.

I'm not upset...these things happen when you drive a car like ours, especially when you make it stand out. As long as I'm not giving him/her any reason to stop me, (s)he can tail me all they want; I consider it an escort :)
