Ok I'm curious so I have to ask. After reading this thread it seems like most people have owned more everyday, pedestrian cars than performance or sports cars. Also, I have noticed that most people who responded have only on average one or two sports/performance cars.
Is the average Z owner young where they have not owned many cars? Were you guys car enthusiasts before getting the Z or only after getting it? I ask because on the other forums I'm a member (Rennlist, 6Speed, Audi World etc), the average person on there had many, many prior sports cars. No offense to anyone, don't sue me for asking but I'm curious. What do you guys think??

Try not to go all crazy modding it, ha ha. Don't be that guy that gets his pay reduced cause he can't keep up with bills and the partying that comes a long with being in.

2010 Nissan Murano LE. Had to let it go since it reminded me too much of my fiance, who passed away unexpectedly on 09/11. Been a tough few months since.
Haven't had a sports car since my 1969 Chevy Z-28 (look the letter Z!). Picked up a 2011 370Z Touring Coupe, Pearl, w/ Nav and aero pkg and I do love it very much! Everyone thinks I'm having a mid-life crisis. Ok, so? It's MY mid-life crisis! |

Before my z i had a 2004 black on black toyota celica gt tsunami edition. Very rare version of the celica that doesnt look as much like a chicks car. It had an engine swap with a jasper performance engine upgraded intake manifold greddy exhaust and a few oter cosmetic upgrades. Sold the car for 12,500 in july 2011. Definitely worth the trade to my z34 never again will i go back to a 4cylinder unless its a sti or evo

When I got my permit, I drove our 2001 bade Honda accord (I4). I eventually started driving our 2006 Camry V6 since it was in far better condition, had abs.
Last spring, I got a 2009 Monterey blue 370z with touring and sport pkg's. I was going to get a new car for college since our accord was totaled in a hailstorm and my parents needed the camry for daily practical purposes. (parents drive a g37 sedan). At first we looked at the new v6 accords, genesis 3.8 track, the v6 camry (our price range became higher when I got full tuition at my college), but when we found the Z with low miles and for significantly cheaper than our other options, my mom went for it. Now that I'm in college, the Z basically is garaged other than during breaks and on weekends when I go back home. It's what I miss most about home now ![]() |
