Since you're saying it's the evap canister, by drone do you mean like some type of dull rattling?

I have short tails and have had them for a while. Most of the rattles that were going to show up have. I've found that the only real harmonic rattles I get are the hatch itself, the plastic covering for the hatch, and the weight that is inside the hatch.

However, if you literally just mean drone from sound of exhaust, yeah that's pretty much a byproduct of having the short tails. Keep revs high and you won't hear the drone, just the VQ singing.

You should have removed the heat shield as part of the install.

I don't know if its the evap canister or heat shield but I hear it in my car while at 1.5-2.5k rpm it might be the heat shield idk

Would that be the problem?

It certainly could be, when I had put on it was right up against it so it was removed. Though with test pipes and short tail the whole care was resonating.
