You can still have a decent looking car and get MPG....But the same Company that makes the GTR and the 370Z makes the Versa ? Now I AM Confused...

When I was at Nissan getting service, and yes I actually got good service, they had a White and a Black GTR in the showroom...100k I think...No price reduction...

I did not bother to sit in them....I have already spent enough money on depreciating assets last year...

i think when you combine all the ask from that demographic, it is impossible to make a good looking car. function and economy just takes over.

like you add a nice feature, they ask to take it off and just give them a lower price. so you got the least experienced 'experimental' staff designing this thing to save cost, and it turns into a weird looking manatee-gray Target style kinda car... :ugh:

then you got the mag spec racers comparing a versa vs corolla for 0-60 times...

I always just assumed that's what was popular in Japan. I don't suppose anyone knows anyone from there that can comment on that?

Bucketlist2012 05-02-2013 02:07 PM

To some Cars are just transportation...I can respect that...

To me, I need something I love to drive...

completely :iagree:

if im just looking for transportation i'd get something convenient like a odyesse or something. but for sure as hell i will NOT be enjoying owning or driving it. :shakes head: i would hate it so much i'd probably just lease it, use it, and get another when the time comes.

+2 I have a hard time, driving anything without a proper suspension and proper gears. In auto, manual or whatever. Suspension, power and gearing has to be right.

My wife has the 12 and though the newer one is improved in looks. There's more slop in the suspension, the CVT is loud as shyt. and i enjoy driving the 12 slightly better than the new 13. By the 15 model though, i know the altima improvements will be huge and eclipse my wife's 12 by a good sized margin!!!
That's just the way Nissan does stuff, first 2 or 3 model years are always quirky.

I absolutely loved my 2002 Altima 2.5 SL. It was such a nice car especially for 2002. Heated, power, leather seats. Sun roof, automatic lights, bose 6 cd audio, steering wheel controls.

My mother had a 2007 Altima 2.5 SL, and I didn't really care for her's much. It seems heavier and slower.

2005 altima SE-R was a great car, then was eclipsed by the 2007 3.5se. They should have kept the manual option, but manuals made 20% of sales.

kenchan 05-02-2013 02:44 PM

yah, i was saddened to see that the new altima only comes in CVT? :(
