Age of potential 370Z buyers?

How does an 18-22 year old afford a $30K+ car, let alone have the credit to get one. Is this realistic on their own, or are parents helping? I know

I know at age 18-22 I wouldn't have been able to afford a 370Z, not to mention in this current economy with fewer banks lending.

I have a strong suspition that 90%+ of the under-25 set on this site will not be able to afford a 370Z or its insurance. They are/will be simply admirers.

I am 27. I will probably not pick up a 370Z until its mid cycle refresh. Im hoping they do something about that black plastic on the front. It makes the front end look bucktoothed. Also, maybe they will add direct injection (one can dream right?)

Same boat as you. Saving right now... and I won't have mine til I'm 28 (4yrs). Unless I can afford by that time to buy a new Z4, or I feel like the jolly green giant driving around in a Z34 the Z is it.

Yeah I'm 25, and I got an *** load of bills. I doubt I can fit in a $600/mth car payment...

When I was 22 I was paying $1,100 per 6months for a jetta. now I'm 25 paying $800 for a jetta and a maxima.

Why two cars? Don't get me wrong, I have two, well three but, but damn that is one hell of a monthly payment for vehicles.

It's $800 every 6 months for both cars, so that equates to about $135 per month. I thought this was pretty good.
