However, I think he has a passenger, so that's like -10mph. :shakes head: You could be going 170 with weight reduction. |

Wow... I'm gone for the night and this thread went from epic to rediculous. :stirthepot:
Thanks for the posts guys. (atleast to those of you who had anything valid to add to this conversation) It seems quite obvious that I miss boost. PS. To those of you who searched all my posts, you have way too much time on your hands. I did buy the Z to keep it stock, but I changed my mind. Sue me. Its hard to stay away from "tuner status". Its my drug. |

Its a bad habit, man. If I didn't propose last August, my Z would have something from GTM on it by now. I blame my fiance for calming me down. (And the $8k ring I bought her) :ughdance: |

There's a similar thread like this on a 911 forum I go on. I would rather take a high revving 332hp engine with high precision at high rpm's (where you should actually be when you drive hard) than a low revving 400hp Evo that feels like every other aftermarket tuned turbo car out there. I don't give 2 chits about low end torque as I'm not a stop light racer. I don't give 1 chit about crazy hp figures or what stage your turbo'd car is at. I care about engine characteristics, and the VQ engine screams character. Especially when you're over 6K rpms.

^ Now if only they'd give us an oil pump that doesn't grenade at 8K ;)
