Things get pretty hot in FL. The 50% isn't very difficult at all to see though. You'd think it would be by looking at it from the outside but it's very, very visible.
I would rate the safety risk of a 15% side window higher than a 50% windshield, myself, as I would need to roll down the windows to back out of somewhere during the night. Pretty damn dark.
