Is the rear cargo cover worth buying?

I've been debating on buying the cargo cover since I got the Z since you can see everything in the trunk. Some times I carry a few pc parts and I don't want some random guy to smash the glass to take it. What do you guys do? Is it even worth buying? Also for those who have it does it make any rattling noise when driving?

I can answer the last part. It makes 0 noise
I leave it latched 90% of the time

forza370z 03-02-2013 03:57 PM

Time to tint the windows.

roclive75 03-02-2013 05:29 PM

I leave it latched 100% of the time no noise at all

SouthArk370Z 03-02-2013 06:14 PM

I don't consider mine to be that important, so I wouldn't give more than about $200.

No rattles from mine.

Venom SS 03-02-2013 07:49 PM

tint

KaienZ34 03-02-2013 07:53 PM

Mine is hooked up all the time and no sound comes from it.

Zoren 370 03-02-2013 08:03 PM

I don't have tint and it looks great and no noise at all. Worth every penny,
plus it protects any cargo from the sun.

DarkJak 03-03-2013 02:48 AM

My windows are tinted so I took mine out, just to be able to fit stuff more easily. It's not that heavy and it made no noise difference in or out. I've seen them go on sale here before, usually around 150-200 bucks.

Chan Chee Hoe 03-03-2013 03:07 AM

Mine got no sound[maybe cannot hear],anyway our "Z" are not Lexus quiet either.:icon18:

Dlm6568 03-03-2013 09:29 AM

2012 no rattle whats so ever, i keep it latched 100% of the time. i can fit my sons lacrosse bag and sticks and my gym bag no problem. I think its one of the better designed covers I've seen.

takjak2 03-03-2013 02:31 PM

Get a high quality black sheet and cut it in half.

geddy lee 03-03-2013 03:34 PM

Tell you what, you can have mine for $ 80.00. I took it out as soon as I bought the car and have never used it and probably never will. I am in Northern Delaware.

It's a Touring Feature

divineelnur 03-03-2013 07:12 PM

That's the first thing I bought for my Nismo.

silentnightz 03-03-2013 10:41 PM

Yea I need one lol. My biggest concern noise but you guys put that to rest

AlexRaymond19 03-04-2013 05:09 AM

It's a must buy! But get your rear window tinted too... I can forsee the cover getting sun faded. I think mine might already be a little bit

KeVoH 03-04-2013 07:08 AM

It's mine, I think!

KngScottieV 03-04-2013 07:15 AM

Could anyone post a pic of their cargo cover with the hatch down I'm curious how it looks/fits now. Thank you.

danegrey 03-04-2013 07:21 AM

anyone have the part number for cargo cover

HaHaNdN 03-04-2013 08:36 AM

Mine works great, no noise really until I am jamming out and sometimes it rattles to the beat so no biggie, kinda cool actually lol. :ughdance: Usually keep it latched unless I have something bulky, and somehow I cracked one of the plastic latches, so if you no one jumps on that one for $80, I would like the oppertunity to purchase it.

bbowers825 03-04-2013 09:00 AM

Hell, I'll throw mine up for sale as well. It has a carbon fiber sticker wrapped around it. Pics if you're interested, lmk.

Getting pictures now. Sit tight 2 seconds...

You could always buy the cargo net too. That thing works great for keeping small stuff from flying around back there.

I would totally buy one of those cargo covers. If someone happened to be selling another one. They could PM me and if the price is decent I'd probably buy it. Just throwing out a hypothetical situation. ;)

Telelady 04-09-2013 07:07 PM

where can I find a cargo cover for 2013 Z.....black interior

2010ZilverZ 04-09-2013 07:29 PM

Check the Parts For Sale section ... I've seen a couple on there this past week or so ;)

silentnightz 04-09-2013 07:50 PM

I bought mine and it works great so I'm happy I got it. It hides everything at the trunk so I'm happy no complaints. I got mine from dealership just ask the parts department about it. It only comes in 1 color (black)

b15 04-10-2013 02:37 AM

Yes its worth it. Unless you get limo tint you'll still be able to see into the hatch from any window.

There are a lot orf features on the touring that would be standard on 99% of most cars. Including other sports cars.

luvboost 04-10-2013 11:39 AM

you're face is worth buying.

lol but seriously I have no idea. My input is just taking up a place in this thread.

b15 04-10-2013 11:48 AM

I think it's like $270 at the dealer. A little cheaper if you buy online.
