The only thing I didn't like was the clutch helper spring.

More info. here: Clutch pedal too soft/no feel? Remove the helper spring!

Other than that it's just getting used to driving it. It likes to be herky-jerky if not shifted just right when shifting under 4K RPM.

When I am in first and coasting, then clutch in (when I'm leaving my work garage, I have to stop and swipe a badge) there's a loud clunk from the gearbox, but I've not found a way to not have it make that sound.

That's all I can think of for now.

Thanks for the help!

Yeah I did notice that the one I drove the clutch was "wonky"

I know my location shows NC but I'm actually located in SoCal (San Diego)

Looking forward to getting back into the car forums after selling my civic back in 09

I used to be a moderator on ephatch.com and was a huge part of that community, was a wealth of knowledge and helpful to all.
The ep3 I had was the first to break 500whp in the States on 93 pump
And before I sold it, it was pushing 592 on 93
I sold it when I got orders to Cali, due to smog reasons then went through a heavy deployment cycle and didn't have the time to get back into it

Looking fwd to chatting with y'all

What a coincidence, my previous car before getting my Z was a 2003 silver EP3. Probably one of the best commuter cars I have had the pleasure of driving. I actually prefer the seats in EP3 over the Z's.

The wheel locks Nissan gives you aren't good enough?

May have to invest in some, but the last time I did that (Discount Tire) we found that they issued all the same to everyone (which is probably the case w/Nissan too), so anyone that had them could use the key and take your rims (esp. the employees, which is what happened to my car).

Needless to say, Discount bought me new rims.

All I can say is you should have picked your 13 up in the GM color, it's faster than the PW

Other than that, congrats and enjoy the car!

My previous car to the Z was an 05 EP3 at about 280 HP (boosted) and it was a ton of fun. Enjoy your Z and welcome back from service!

OP, just make sure the wheel locks that come with it are the right style. It seems like the dealers are still screwing this up even though the car has been out since '09.
