Nismo Badging on a Nismo Conversion?

This is kind of a silly topic but I have to ask b/c I'm stuck on not knowing what to do with badging my car when I'm done converting my Sport/Touring to a full Nismo bodykit.

Maybe this question is directed more to the Nismo 370z community b/c you guys paid $10K+ on top of Base model to be different (and be more exclusive)from the rest of the 370z trims.

Do you think my car should carry the Nismo badge in the rear? - Real Question
Is it pretty much "don't try be a Nismo when it's not a Nismo"?
So, what really makes up a Nismo?

The difference between a Nismo are below:
My car current meet or exceeds the following:-350HP from exhaust (I have Stillen CBE/Berk HFC)
-Nismo Aero Body Kit - (except I'm having EVO-R CF Nismo High Wing)
-Nismo Suspension (KW V3)
-Nismo Sways (Whiteline)
The Things I lack:
-Front Body Damper
-9.5"/10.5" width Nismo Rays wheels
-More stiffer front Strut Brace

TBH i would leave the nismo badging off... if its not a nismo then dont brand it as one. If you want it to say Nismo on there go for it. its yours anyways. you gotta put on what you want on the car not what anyone else wants. I just think its ricer when a car is branded for what its not. just my 2 cents though.

Mustang has a Nismo license plate frame on his Mustang :icon17:

Do what YOU want man

Put the Nismo decals if you like the word "Nismo" on your car
I have Nismo license plate surrounds too because I just like them

Yeah but that was for trollolllols. This, IMO, is rice. The body kit is fine but your car is NOT a Nismo model so don't badge it as such.

I guess it's like putting SVT badge on your non-cobra mustang or GT on your base model? And I thought Z = rice :bowrofl:

You also lack the Nismo plaque inside the car :stirthepot:

That being said, I have a Nismo license plate on my base as well like DE.

Their strut brace is stiffer? I didn't know that.

I appreciate all the feedback and it aligns with what I was expected to get back as answers. I will most likely leave out the Nismo badge. But I wonder if I should put on the 370z badge on the left side. Get the fairlady one? or the 370z one? Maybe this also goes back to it's not a fairlady, don't try to be a fairlady.

I wonder if it'd look weird if I only have the Nissan Front/Rear Hamburger emblem without any badges. Like it'd be too bare or blend in with those debaged BMW 328i.

My idea when people debadge a car isn't mianly to look clean, it's more have to do with hiding something. I believe most BMW 328 debadge their emblems so others won't notice they got the lowest trim even though you can clearly tell from the exhaust tips =P

The Nismo owners are butt hurt, what difference does it make, go order some plaques if it makes you happy, lol

Right, I know, and the red engine cover too and another Nismo badge on the strut brace.

And yes, it's stiffer because they weld on 2 more little beams. How much stiffer? prolly 5%? haha.

Op if you actually spent the money (even of its just the full body kit minus the wing + paint + rims and tires), that will cost you almost 10k anyway. I don't mind you putting on the badge, after all, all the nismo parts are available for purchase anyway. Doesn't hurt my feeling at all

Thanks DE, I don't intend to start up any drama over simple plaques and badges. In the end that's what I do, but I always find it interesting to see what majority of the 370z community find as accepting.

It's like majority of the 370z owners have a mutual understanding that scissor doors look super tacky on a 370z and belongs to a Lambo. Same goes with Neon lights, etc. Those are things I find obvious where I don't need to get a "RICE" ticket from someone to tell me.

Did I tell you someone at my College went around cars giving these "RICE" tickets out before? It had a ton of check boxes with things like: Park backwards Crooked, Type R Emblems when it's not, overly large bolt on exhaust tip, etc.

That was funny. :bowrofl:

Yes. If I had a mustang it would be like putting a gt500 emblem on it.
